Wright Plus Housewalk 2004
On a beautiful Saturday the appraisers from Citywide Services joined thousands for the 30th annual Wright Plus Housewalk in Oak Park, Illinois.
Described as a rare opportunity to tour the interior of 10 magnificent buildings, eight of which are private residences.
The Wright Plus Housewalk is the main fundraising event for the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. In the past 30 years some 60,000 people have attended the event.
Three public buildings by Wright were part of the walk. These included the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, the Unity Temple and the Frederick C. Robie House in Chicago. In addition three private residences were open. These included the Laura R. Gale House, the William E. Martin House and the Harry S. Adams House.
Other architects included in the walk were E.E. Roberts, Henry K. Holsman, White & Weber and Nimmons & Fellows.
