Wright designed the house in 1908, seven years before its construction in 1915. The house has a hipped roof, wood banding, wide eaves, along with the heavy massing and broad chimney are typical Prairie style. This is the only Wright designed Prairie house built in concrete; the walls are 22 inches poured concrete.
